Us vs. Them

I love Gabe Vega and we go way back to high school hardcore days, so this isn't intended to insult him, but there are two events this week, same idea (Bad Holiday Sweaters) and worlds apart in their motivation.



I know the picture is small, but let me just highlight the line that says "Bottle Special: $150 bottle of Kettle (sic) One"

The event is taking place Thursday evening at Excelsior Lounge in La Jolla, 9pm-2am.

Now look at this one, same night, at The Local, from 7pm to closing:



Note the $7 cover charge is a tax-deductible donation to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, with drink and food specials all night long. (But no $150 bottle service, sorry.)

Let your conscience decide which party is more in the spirit of the season.
